Dave Shalansky starring in CLIFF - a new dark comedy short film.

Shalansky co-wrote and is co-producing the project with newcomer director Paul Emerson. The two met while performing together in a sketch comedy group in LA. After reading Shalansky's rough draft, Emerson immediately jumped on board to punch up the script that would eventually be entitled CLIFF. They are presently in post-production.

Cliff is a dark comedy about a self-diagnosed "sexual altruist" who struggles to keep his sanity when he thinks he may have just met the girl of his dreams.

Dave Shalansky joins the cast of the romantic comedy, Divorce Invitation.

Lainie Kazan, Elliott Gould, Richard Kind, Ian Alda, Keith Robinson, and Andrea Bowen join Jonathan Bennett, Jamie-Lynn Sigler, and Nadia Bjorlinto round out the cast of the romantic comedy Divorce Invitation. This project will mark critically acclaimed Indian director S.V. Krishna Reddy's U.S. directorial debut. Krishna Reddy, Bala Rajasekharuni, and Robert Naturman wrote the screenplay. Venkat will produce with Ram serving as an executive producer. M.S.P. Srinivas Reddy is co-producer. Shooting will commence this month in Los Angeles.

Divorce Invitation centers on happily married Mike Christian, who runs into his high school sweetheart Alex and sparks fly. Mike is convinced she is his soul mate. But he has one huge problem - he signed an iron-clad pre-nup, and his wife Dylan will not let him out of the marriage.

Divorce Invitation comes to theaters in 2012 and stars Lainie Kazan, Elliott Gould, Richard Kind, Keith Robinson, Andrea Bowen, Jonathan Bennett, Jamie-Lynn Sigler, Ian Alda and Dave Shalansky.

GEORGE'S 40th BIRTHDAY was accepted into the Los Angeles Comedy Film Festival, the D.C. Shorts Film Festival, Washington DC and the Burbank International Short Film Festival!

Shalansky stars in the indie short DREAM CLEANERS. SYNOPSIS: We catch up with Artie (played by Larrs Jackson) and Rex (Shalansky) driving through a foggy night on the way to a job. Artie’s an old timer who’s been at this gig longer than he can remember. Rex, well it’s his first night on the job. When Rex starts fooling around and not taking the job too seriously, the Dream Cleaners are in for a night they will never forget. The film will premiere at the 2011 COMIC CON in San Diego, CA. COMEDY

Dave Shalansky is now performing regularly with the Sketch Comedy troupe Sitcoms Blow . The group performs several times a month at the world famous HOLLYWOOD IMPROV.

Born and raised in Rhode Island, Dave Shalansky moved on to receive a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre from Boston University. Upon graduating, he moved to New York City where he became very successful in TV commercials and continued advancing his acting career by working steadily in the New York and Regional Theatre circuits. Since moving to Los Angeles, Shalansky landed several TV guest star roles on such shows as Curb Your Enthusiasm, ER, Bones, CSI, Without a Trace, Dark Blue and continues to work increasingly on TV, Film and commercials. He is best known for his recurring character of Harry on the Gilmore Girls. Shalansky is also involved with producing short film projects in Los Angeles and continues to take classes and perform at the nationally recognized and critically acclaimed improv company Upright Citizens Brigade.
